Ted, Five percent of the workforce is roughly 8 million people. Then there are the people who have given up looking for work.......and the teens who can never find summer jobs. I think we'll manage. Great, let's enforce all the laws and drive out the illegals without increasing the legal immigration limits. America will soon have full employment, something that even JF admits we can never afford. You're making little sense. We can't afford full employment? Who says we'll be at full employment? Who says the changeover has to be done in six months? Union protectionism? How can that possibly factor into this issue? Most jobs illegals do are non union. Your reaction is a bit surprising. I suspect there is something else that's bothering you.
