There has yet to be any proof produced that Saddam assisted Al Qaeda on 9-11 or on any other occasion.

Even if Saddam would assist Al Qaeda, he couldn't. He had no weapons nor the means to deliver them.

All he could do at best is round up another batch of hijackers. But heck anyone could do that, and still can do that, even an Iraqi. Removing Saddam hardly changed the picture.
