Lot of good reading in your last posts! Yes, "There is something just too strange about all this "love of suicide and martyrdom"". One can understand it in pre-scientific days when the unknown was a vast "spirit" world rather than natural law. Where illness was caused by demons and so forth. But why are so many people STILL willing to imagine a reality which (thus) permits their most atrocious and brutal acts...rather than being willing to FACE reality and to join the human race as human beings??
