McGavick is another Republican who should be shrewd anough to spend the entire campaign saying "Democrats" and "ANWAR" at every opportunity. The first "energy crises" was caused by Democrats. The Democrats SUSTAINED high energy prices and shortages throughout the 70's with populist crap like "windfall profits" taxes. And all that time the sucked up to the mass of environmentally-ignorant voters in the blue states by fighting tooth and nail against everything from the Alaska pipeline to nuclear power. It's very simple: Those who forget history (or tolerate its revision by propagandists) are condemned to repeat it. It's doubtful the Democrats can overcome GOD and COUNTRY to make any gains in 2006. But if they DID, get up early and get in the gas line. "We seen this before.", as the old saying goes...
