Yes, definitely contemplating the plug-in option. That price would need to come down substantially for it to be a real possibility. Even when buying the Prius, I didn't really think that I would be saving any money over another fuel efficient car. However, as it turns out, I believe that I am when gas averages over $2.50. Just lucky though. Battery tech creeps ahead so slowly. I've been an investor in VLNC long enough to cry or kick something. One of these days, their safe, easily disposable, li-ion battery is going to be adopted by someone large. Or they'll get crushed by Samsung or Matsushita. :(

He offered three solutions that the government has decided to back with our tax dollars ..... 1) Increased use of Ethanol from a variety of feedstocks 2) Improving Hybrid technology & Flex fuel vehicles 3) Hydrogen Economy So there you have it .. I can hear the 'groans' already .. But this appears to be the chosen course .. to extend the automobile culture we find ourselves in .. Stop filling the SPR until fall .. Allow waivers for MBTE blends where ethanol is in short supply .. ANDE PEIX ADM MGPI .. yipee !!!! I still think the end game is an 'electrified' transport grid Triff ..
