Hi Frank,

>>is .11n soup yet?<<

grouper.ieee.org

The 335-page Draft 1.0 for 802.11n is in it's first working group letter ballot, and the 1212-page Draft 6.0 for 802.11 is in Sponsor ballot. Dot11n is as complex as Dot11i, which took four years of balloting.

It is unlikely that 802.11n will become a standard in October 07, and will be lucky to become a standard in 2008.

In the meantime, EWC (Atheros/Broadcom/Intel/Marvell) silicon is in the market, and mister market wants more than is in D1.0 of Dot11n.
