OT: There is a big difference now, called the internet. It allows people able to follow many subjects of interest in a timely and efficient manner. Now when a reporter or politician makes an erroneous comment, (or makes a major political blunder) a much higher percentage of the population immediately sees it for just that. I honestly believe the internet is one of the reasons Bush's ratings are so low. We all know what the administration is REALLY doing. It's even dragging my parents into the modern age. Now when my mom sends me emails from religious zealots making stupid claims, I am able (in minutes) to reply with web sites that tell the truth about that aspect. It appears to be working as she is starting to question the claims from those idiots. Folks like CalculatedRisk and Mish do the public a major service with their intelligent, easy to understand, and well thought out blogs. Even when I don't agree with what they write I have to admit they have a valid point. Wish THEY would run for office!
