can somebody help me understand how this happened in ONE QUARTER?

now represents 22.1 percent, a 26-percent increase over AMD's share in the fourth quarter of 2005

Did AMD just release some killer product, or open a new fab or something? Sorry I have not kept up.

According to this
forbes.com
AMD has 22% of server unit share, but 27% of server CPU dollar share (x86 only?).

AMD now holds 22% of the server market in terms of units, 27% of the market in terms of revenue and should have a technology edge on Intel in the server market through 2007, Osha says.
