If you think the economy isn't coming unglued come to the midwest and your opinion will change. Of course the GOM area will do well with sky high energy prices. The housing market also provided many thousands of new jobs in the past few years but those jobs will start disappearing very soon. The housing bubble is in the process of bursting. Am starting to see the beginnings of what is going to be a tidal wave of heartbreaking stories of financially ruined people. I saw the consumer confidence numbers. Suspect they only polled folks from the GOM area :)
