I think Hu believes George is a moron, as did Putin, and they are playing George for a fool that he may be. They are probably trying to figure a way to get George into Iran, bringing it on, so to speak, whoop it up, in other words, to sort of make their day. I would imagine Falung Gong is a nuisance, but I find it difficult to see how a bunch of cross-legged faithfuls can be consequential if they are viewed by the majority as merely slightly bent. It is, at the end of the day, the majority that counts, even in China.
