Some of us just visit from time to time, but don't spend every waking hour on SI. How are we suppose to keep up with name changes?

Even if we were to provide the alias history it would have to be an "opt-in" basis. It is not realistic to publish prior aliases without first giving users the opportunity to decline for whatever reason they may have, including but not limited to previously using their real name.
