Because the collapsing of RMB and collapsing of China, are exactly what they want!

I completely disagree - global megacorps want to do away with your current nationalist regime - they do not want to collapse china - they just want to make profit from her like they do everywhere else and if communist regimes are running over the customers with tanks - that is less profit. If american nationalism is hurting profit - it must go too - and it has gone in both places - china is nothing special. Like Orwell said - your gubbment can make the people feel their is an outside threat and get them to rally behind one man or system - but those days are waning.

First, after RMB rises temporarily, they withdraw the hot money, billions of billions, from China, so they gain big profit. Second, after they withdraw all their money, RMB will collapse, just like what happened in Asia in 1997. And then ALL the foreign gov./companies can force whatever they want to on China, including separate China into 7-8 unrelated countries.

The tower of babel must be dispersed - specialization makes for market growth eh? You don't want to hop back into your bland jumpsuit like a good little borg do you? You want choices - when you go to the shopping mall you want spicy and original and terryaki flavor eh - not just honey chicken - Spock said infinite diversity - infinite combinations - the borg said you will be assimilated.

Yes, for all the last 150 years, the West (imperialist countries) have never for one day forgot this dream of theirs (please don't take this personally).

I think if you will take a hard look at your coastal cities the WEST is not just some american cowboy or british banker - I see lots of chinese that I would call "the west" today as well.

They are not wanting to hurt the chinese people - they dont want to hurt the people in all the other places either - they just want to make profit and the communist regime is preventing thier advance. The soviet union experimented with holding the tower of babel together - it broke apart - as it always does in the cycle of life.

Most of Chinese know this!

Most of Chinese know that? General Chen could have bought a cheap chinese knockoff of his apple ipod - why did he buy the namebrand western version - or did he? I think you are a little holier than thou to believe you can speak for 1.4 billion people and KNOW what is in thier hearts and minds - I dont even know what I am thinking half the time - much less the hundreds of millions of americans I interact with every single day.

And that is exactly why they will never make concession in currency issue. Yes, one day RMB will float, but that day will be chosen by China and Chinese, NOT by others.

You are so silly - no personal offense - but you can't claim to have borg 1.4 billion in the hive all moving in one direction and be taken seriously - the farmer in pudong is told to get off his land while a honda dealership goes up that only rich more "western" chinese can afford to buy - wake up!

National interest and protectionism and globalism are competing memes - one will win at the end of the day and one will lose - I saw trotskys favorite film Blade Runner - and there was a chinese guy making the eyeballs - and an american guy making the skin and the only guy I saw wanting to kill people and control them was the one close to death begging for more life.

Have you ever seen the movie farewell to the king - old enemies became friends.

I watched a movie with Lianjie Li called Ying xiong - that movie dealt with the tower of bable memes too.
