Well, unfortunately when I bought this monitor back in August, the only "affordable" 19 inch LCDs were all 1280 x 1024. I got it for ~$240 after rebates, which at that time was a great price. Granted it's an off-brand (AG Neovo), but after tweaking the settings for awhile, it's been great. Very sharp, good colors, nice brightness and contrast with no dead pixels. Besides, my main use for it is not gaming and videos. Though I wouldn't mind getting a 24" widescreen at some point. Of course, supporting a family of 5 on a single income tends to limit discretionary purchases.

eetnoyer, on your 19" LCD

What brand is that, and where is it available?

If AMD would quit clowning around and hit the moon I'd buy one of those Dell 2405FPW monitors :). And probably need a new graphics card to drive it. And a PCIe mobo for the new graphics card. And a dual-core CPU for the new mobo. Of course, I'd wait for the AM2 launch so I could buy new DDR2 memory as well... LOL
