Gillespie was in charge of Enron's PR campaign which was basically working with the Bush-Cheney people to use 7 million of Enron money to put out a wave of TV ads which were completely and utterly dishonest and misleading.

At the time, I was suspicious and asked a Celifornia State Senator I met about it. He said "Enron and the Republicans, it's the same thing now, they're working together". That was when I first became a political activist, especially after looking at my energy bills.

These TV ads which we all saw on the west coast, which Gillespie organized and Enron paid for, blamed Grey Davis and democrats for the gouging and high prices because they "did not have an energy policy". They blamed the victims even as they were knowingly cheating the entire west coast out of about 30 billion dollars. And all that cheating is now proven.

See the movie "Enron" to hear the actual tapes of the Enron traders laughing about how they are screwing consumers and how things will get even better once Bush-Cheney appoint Ken Lay as Secretary Of Treasury.
