I think that all the mandatory items should be available if the car/motor vehicle wants them. Their choice. BUT IF there is an accident the person would have had to sign a release before getting their drivers license or motor vehicle, that they could not sue ANYONE if they were hurt. AND, if a child were hurt or killed, because they didn't have car seats, they would face a trial and possibly go to jail for manslaughter. So should the person that hit them....

I really would like two things.... a count of just how much all the safety gear weighs per car, and a count as to how many people who have been saved each year per state because of mandated safety equipment.
