There is zero evidence Saddam every cooperated with AL Qaida nor had any WMD after around 1992. The only reports turned out to be phony and self-serving lies of Iraqi exiles who wanted us to invade so they could be put in charge and get rich. That said, Saddam was a menace, just not an imminent threat and nothing to do with 9-11 as Bush-Cheney often claimed.
