I've had lots of problems with pain too over the years. Had to take what Rush did for knee problems and a replacement over a two year timeframe... But knew I didn't want to stay on that stuff one second more than necessary. IBProfin...(easy spelling) works for me, sometimes with a Tylenol or asprin or two thrown in.... Pain is a harsh master...you're never really ever away from it. I just try to keep really busy and doing things as I can to get away from it for awhile.... Good luck with the miserable stuff... I've read many times that Aspirin is the miracle drug of our day....and I believe that.

I'm sure sorry you are in constant pain. No one should have to live like this. I don't understand this problem with pain medication. With all the drug companies pumping out new pills all the time, why won't most doctors try something other then what's the pill de jour? I was at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center for a bone tumor. I was given drugs I'd never even heard of before. I was in mild pain which I hadn't expected after they took a good chunk of it out and replaced it with donor bone. I got my pain medication filled at their pharmacy and was in mild pain for a few weeks. More from the physical therapy I think then anything else. I was amazed at how well these drugs controlled the pain and how well I was able to function on them.
