I'm fortunate in that I have a huge tolerance for pain it seems. And not because I'm a manly man who is in agony but bravely move forward. My body doesn't seem to feel pain like most. When I say I'm in constant pain I mean I can feel it all the time and it's like an aggravation.

As an example I fell down the stairs at work years ago right after coming on shift. I was carrying an electric motor and went down a flight of stairs with a supervisor witnessing. I got up, picked the motor up, said damn that kind of hurts and went on about my shift. Went home in the morning and wife got a call from the plant saying they wanted me to go in and be checked out as it was quite a fall. She woke me up and told me my whole back was green and bruised so across the road to a little clinic I went. Ended up with an ambulance ride with 2 broken vertebrae and 1 crushed disc and 2 bulged. Had back surgery several years later with fusion, etc and left 2 days later without ever taking a pain pill or filling a prescription. Not because I'm manly, it really didn't hurt as far as I was concerned.

Another good example would be I've never had a headache in my life. Wouldn't even know what one felt like. With the back thing I had some deal done where they pulled fluid out and put die in and one of the side effects was headaches if you didn't stay prone. I got up once back to the room and walked to the bathroom and then just stayed up in a chair much to the nurses horror with no headache.

People tell me I'm strange:)
