Yes. They're trying to attract as much investment as possible. They need taxes to be paid!! Now is tax free. VAT will be implemented in 2008.

My wife was here for a week. She says she's seen the documentary. You see all that opulence in the malls and then you see the poor people that makes the place wrok, and who construc it: Bangla, Paks, filipinos, Hindus...
