I love the excuse. "I would cost too much to send them back" OK then, why should anyone in Washington keep their job since they were asleep at the switch? Also, a path to citizenship shouldn't be dropping an anchor baby. No one seems to want to address this.

No, I've seen your posts. I was just being sarcastic in support of your point of view on illegals. Already, I hear people trying to make others feel bad for calling them illegals. But for fuck's sake, they ARE illegals. We need to prosecute the companies that hire them and deport the illegals. I know they are illegals and I don't call them by any other name. However, I do think we need a largerly increased pool of Mexican work visas with a path to citizenship. I think they are an important part of our economy and there are many who are law abiding and hard working. Why? Some are law abiding and hard working and others are not....just like any other people. That is a misconception that many have. Illegals don't just smuggle in labor but drugs as well. Besides, the last time I checked, the quota on Mexicans is fairly high. Its enough.....this addiction to illegal, cheap employment is as bad for us as our addiction to oil. In fact, we have too many addictions. Its time to start a purge. If we want to make an exception when it comes to migratory farm workers, that's fine. But IMO that should be the extent of any temporary guest program. But we shouldn't forget that we are a country that lives by the rule of law. That means if you are here illegally, you have NO RIGHTS and that includes the right to take to the streets in protest. Unfortunately, all our backtracking on this issue has sent the wrong message. Its time to hit them and hit them hard. The fact that they are rewriting the national anthem into Spanish just blows me away.........and should piss off every American in this country. If it were me, I'd get the national guard out and ask for the papers of those illegals who attempt to protest on Immigrant Monday. If they are illegal, arrest them and deport them. I say, bring the US troops home from Iraq and deploy them on our southern border. Agreed.
