It is no longer a clear and concise fundamental directive. Jefferson was right we need to have a revolution at least every 20 years or so to assure our liberty. It doesn't have to be violent but it should include some general overhauls of the system. Congress is in a perpetual state of paralysis and incompetence and we are all allowing it to go on because we are so locked into our loyalties to sub-groupings that are a part of the overall structure. Freedom: I would like to include some more rights. Like one that clarifies freedom of conscience and one that clarifies free association. There are probably some others that could be addressed. The election, voting process, and review of proposed legislation is antiquated.
