I'd say if gas became $10/gallon, and we haven't found a suitable form of alternative energy, even the environmentalists will be for drilling ANWR. And ANWR won't make a lick of difference. The problem is 5% population / 25% consumption. The problem is efficiency, just like a microprocessor. The problem is leadership... both Dem and Rep over the last 20+ years. If Moore's law was coming to an end (like peak oil), wouldn't Intel leadership respond? Whoops, maybe that is a bad analogy. John
