Hillary has control of the party machinery and that goes a long way to winning the nomination. Kerry has a shot, but why would the Democrats want to rehash a losing campaign from 4 years ago. Warner would be their best bet for sure.

McCain sounds strong. He has tacked back into the Republican fold and is gaining momentum. Why do you see him as fading. All the heads on TV this weekend seemed to think it was McCain's nomination to lose at this point.

Romney might be the Republicans best bet if McCain peters out. McCain would be formidible. I know a lot of moderates who like McCain.

"Besides, if the Dems take back congress the war will be over or all but over by 2008."
How can the war ever be over if America keeps bases in Iraq for many years. As long as these bases are in Iraq, the Iraqis will continue to kill American soldiers.
