China is only a threat to the US if we make it one. Instead of antagonizing them at every turn, we should be building a long term relationship with them. Like it or not, we're stuck with the Chinese and we'll have to contend with them on equal footing. So we'd better start learning how to compete more fiercely and engage in real diplomacy, not this ridiculous farce that Bush thinks is diplomacy.

War of Wills
Behind the summit smiles, China may pose the most serious challenge to America and its global vision.

Watch the wording.........everyone and everything eventually becomes a serious "challenge" or threat to America and its well being. Then people wonder why the average American is xenophobic.
