Government is as incapable of inventing medicines as it is of reforming it's own agencies. Cut those "research budgets" and you drive the best and brightest out into the competitive private sector where that CAN achieve health care advances...

My son works at the NIH in Bethesda. According to him, while more money is always desired, truth is over the Bush Presidency they HAVE had significant increases in their budget, he is merely TRIMMING the increase in order to try and rein in the overall National Budget. jdn
