All I know is California was running surpluses until the Bushie energy companies decided to exploit deregulation and stick it to us in 2000-2001, starting the day after Bush-cheney were first nominated. That cost us 30 billion and Bush-Cheney all but supported it. Illegal aliens have been here for decades and the economy has been very strong. Also, every Californian with any money uses illegal aliens to do all their hard dirty work. And I have never seen any evidence of illegals living off hand-outs from the government. They all seem to work very hard. I'm not defending illegal aliens, just giving you my perspective as someone in Southern California for 25 years.
