Bushes road to the white house ain't gonna get McCain there ie... pander to extreme right wing ideology. Rudy isn't going to get past main strem republicans with his stance on abortion and gay marriage, not to mention when you stand him next to Hagel, Hagel is the manly man, not Rudy, and the right wing really bites into that crap. I doubt Hagel would take a positive stance on gay marriage. I also doubt he will take an extreme right wing view on abortion. Still makes him the best candidate on there side. If Hagel is pro choice, even limited and for civil unions he is going to look a whole whole lot better to main stream America than Kerry. As for the 06 electins, we can only hope. A lot can happen in 6 months. And I would put good money on the current administration to do what it does best and that is work the minds of the sheeples before that election.
