"I can't imagine the uproar and media attention this would be getting if the parties were reversed."

The media isn't exactly falling all over themselves covering the phone jamming case in New Hampshire, why they would give a lot of attention to a few tire slashings is beyond me.

To recap, Haley Barbour, governor of Mississippi, funded a company in 2000 that was hired by the New Hampshire Republican State Committee to jam phones used by the New Hampshire Democratic party to provide transportation for voters. Now James Tobin, the Regional Director for the Republican party in that area, was in constant communication with the Whitehouse during the incident. He has been charged, and the RNC has been paying for his defense. The total so far is in excess of $2 million...

Thanks, liberals, from an Exxon shareholder

As a conservative I cannot heap enough criticism on the liberal’s approach to a U.S. energy policy. They moan about our energy dependence on imported oil but refuse to allow any domestic drilling. Global warming is their big environmental cause, but they will not consider nuclear energy which is the only practical solution to those worries. They make it so difficult to build a new refinery that our newest U.S. plant was built in 1976. Instead, they make solar and wind energy sound like a practical solution to the problem, which it is not. Coal pollutes and is deemed to be “bad,” despite advances in technology that allows for much cleaner burning.

What it all boils down to is a clear demonstration of why liberals cannot govern. They can’t govern because they are unable to take action to solve a problem. Invariably they stick their heads in the sand and do nothing. That is precisely what they have forced us to do on energy.

However, as an Exxon shareholder I have to express my gratitude to the liberals. When the media plays up “the massive profits” made by Exxon, they make it sound like some greedy executive somewhere is exercising greed for his own good. Let me be clear, as a shareholder, “I am the Exxon” they refer to. And, as a shareholder, I am delighted when “my company” makes money. But, let’s give credit where credit is due. The oil company execs only deserve part of the credit for this spurt in profitability. The lion’s share of the credit goes to the liberals as a direct result of their approach to energy as described above. “No drilling, no new refineries, no coal, no nuclear, no LNG” all add up to more profits for Exxon and the other oil companies by making what they have to sell more valuable than it would be otherwise.

So, on behalf of the Exxon shareholders, who are the real beneficiaries of these profits, let me give a great big “thank you” to the liberals. What they are doing may be bad for the country as a whole, but great for the millions of us who hold shares in, and therefore own, oil companies like Exxon. It wouldn’t have happened without you Nancy, Teddy, Harry, Schumer and all your liberal friends!

The rightwing culture of corruption is very real.

A few overzealous idiots slashing a few tires is not election fraud, it's just a stupid immature stunt which Dems disapprove of strongly. But it didn't cost Bush a single vote.

Take a look at these crimes by the rightwing: Massive, but the GOP is still busy trying to coverup and protect all its corrupt congressmen and officials, including Bush-Cheney themselves. Pelosi just handed over the only Dem who looks guilty, that Jefferson guy. We Dems police ourselves. Repubs don't. They just cover up and lie. Delay is a total disgrace going on TV pointing fingers. He is a huge-huge criminal.

1) How the energy gouging started the day after Bush-Cheney were first nominated, using Enron's Ed Gillespie to blame the phony energy crisis on democrats. Only stopping after Jeffords switched parties and gave Dems subpoena powers. How Bush-Cheney's #1 goal was to double the price of energy, working with Enron, Exxon, Saudis, james Baker, etc. Mission accomplished.

2) How the SwiftVets For Truth were a complete hoax, one big dirty trick from the get-go, and not a single thing they said was true, and they knew it, and later how Tom Delay's phony foundation made a deal with Perry Homes to pay them back for funding the smearvets. Also how Rove has used smear campaigns and dirty tricks in every election.

3) Ohio and Florida both. Bush-Rove cheated both times. Bush is a genius at one thing, fixing elections. The Diebold paperless voting machines, a single-use weapon. Exit polls showed Kerry had won that day. Sean Hannity even conceded on the radio.

I can't imagine the uproar and media attention this would be getting if the parties were reversed.

A judge admonished a congresswoman's son and three other Democratic campaign workers for interfering with voters' civil rights as he sentenced them to jail Wednesday for puncturing the tires of some Republican vans on Election Day 2004.

How pathetic! Even you are trying to equate the puncturing of tires, something not much more than a student prank, to the level of corruption permeating nearly the entire GOP. I figured Harris and shortie were simply desperate but the whole party is in that state. Who knew?

When the Dems commit a real crime, we'll let you know. In the meantime, you keep your support for Bush intact.........he desperately needs it.
