The circus of passing new laws occurs because the men and women tasked with putting into action (in a Constitutional way) the demands of the electorate really would rather do nothing.

We must remember now that for most in the Senate they perceive themselves as all-powerful -- like little kings and queens -- and all-knowing. The individual Americans (us) are basically ignorant and don't really understand the issues.

Well, here's a little fact they forget: they are OUR servants. If enough of us get together we can vote them out and make them dog catchers. We individual Americans have rights. The federal government has NO rights. It only has the authority we give them. They serve at our pleasure. If they displease us, kick them out and hope that kick lands them on sharp gravel so they really get the point through their pointy heads.

I don't care if it's a Democrat Kennedy or a Democrat-clone McCain. The men and women of liberty and the mind must take action soon or, sir, without trying to be melodramatic, all is lost.
