The dems need a fresh face. No more Gore, or Kerry. Losers both.

Perhaps Warner will be a good choice. You need someone with impeccable honesty and clean of scandal. You know the republicans can turn a boy scout into Jack the Ripper, so you need a tough fighter as well. It's a tall order.

Kerry is a whimp. When he was being swift boated with a multimillion dollar media campaign he sat back and ignored it. When you have an organized and well funded opposition involved in smearing if you fold you lose. Kerry folded.

If you think that Kerry has any chance why don't you start a John Kerry '08 thread and see how much interest you get there. But please don't be dragging that loser across every board here at SI, because no one wants to hear what he coulda shoulda and woulda done. Kerry is toast.

So bottomline is, if not Kerry then who?

If that is the Dems' bottomline question, then they might as well sink to the bottom! :-)

Kerry had a chance and he blew it. He said that he too would have attacked Iraq just like Dumbya did, just sat there when he was being smeared by the swift-boat liars and apologized for calling Dumbya and his gang liars (the only bold thing that he did in all of his campaign).

In spite of all these blunders, he won but the margin was close enough for the Diebold crooks to take care of the rest. If he had been bold, the margin could well have been too wide for the crooks to fix it without being caught.
