Corporate capitalism is great if it's honest, fair and does its share to support the society which makes it possible. I have nothing against companies, per se. But under the Bush Republicans, they have gotten way too powerful.

Corporations right or wrong seems to be the mantra under Bush and his pals. And look what's happened. DC has become totally corrupted. The trillions in deficits now are to a large part due to corporate money-grabbing. And health care and energy costs have doubled at a time of almost zero inflation. So you know what happened there. Same thing as when the S+L's went crazy.

Free enterprise is great, just not freedom from playing by the rules. And we have all learned a lesson now, that we can trust good government a lot more then we can bad corporations.

Benito Mussolini once defined FASCISM as corporations and the State working together

Mussolini's book The Corporate State reads remarkably like a blueprint for FDR's New Deal.

"What does higher social justice mean? It means work guaranteed, fair wages, decent homes, it means the possibility of continuous evolution and improvement. Nor is this enough. It means that the workers must enter more and more intimately into the productive process and share its necessary discipline." - Benito Mussolini, The Corporate State

"The Fascist State aims at:
1) the improvement of accident insurance;
2) the improvement and extension of maternity assistance;
3) insurance against occupational diseases and tuberculosis as a step towards insurance against all forms of disease;
5) the adoption of special forms of endowment insurance for young workers" - Benito Mussolini, The Corporate State
