Why are you arguing with me about this? You think that Bush and Republicans are the cause of all your woes? Well the Democrats are too and during some times in history have been even worse! Just a few examples: FDR who almost single-handedly turned America into a huge socialist State. Truman who, with his Official Secrets Act made whole segments of the government's operations invisible to the electorate, thus effectively taking away OUR power to control our own government. LBJ whose economic crimes are legion and whose war (Vietnam) was so bungled and mishandled that he, through superhuman effort (like Hitler overriding his generals) was able to take certain victory and turn it into a long, drawn out defeat. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Are you blind to this? You think I want more taxes, more redistribution of wealth, more government hands in my pocket? What do I get in return? Nothing! I am sorry, but I live by the trader's philosophy: value for value. The Democrats offer no value in return for my creations and the Republicans offer little more. So your arguments in favor of the fire instead of the frying pan are falling on deaf ears.
