Jesus's teachings were like the idealic version of communism, which in its purest form is not a bad thing. That is, helping the pour, sharing the fruits, taking care of each other. Also like an Indian tribe or the kind of New Deal farm community Johnny Cash grew up on. When the rightwing demonized the word "communist" and the Soviets turned communism into a military dictatorship, they really threw away something valuable. There are many instances when communism or socialism in its beneficial form is the right thing. All it really means is that the ruling class (typically 2%) can't own 50% of the wealth and treat everyone else like servants. I know this sounds very leftwing, but so what? This country has become far too dominated by the top 2% and the big corps. That's why people are so angry now and why we have so much corruption and deficit-spending in Washington.
