"Well I'll be in Las Vegas May 19th-21st, so hopefully then I will be cured of this mysterious "long absence induced syndrome" which you have theorized...." I've never considered Las Vegas to really BE part of the USA, but rather an artificial imaginary region, like Hell. It's a city that exists to serve the basest desires of men. Don't get me wrong, I like it on occassion. But, it's not really representative of America. The juxtaposition of travelling from a Muslim country to Las Vegas would seem to me to be especailly jarring...
