Send it back. Get a standalone. They're starting to get a message, you just need to make it clear.

The harsh reality is, most people do not have Tivo, and when they get a Comcast or Dish DVR, they think it's just like a Tivo.

My dad got a SA Tivo. Tried it for a short while, then gave it away. Then got Comcast digital with DVR. Then decided to switch to Dish with DVR. After using Tivo for awhile he said of both Comcast's and Dish's DVR: "It's just like Tivo". And of course, the reason why is because he's not a Tivo "super user", like many of us techo-geeks. This is my Dad (or my Mom) who can't even set the clock on their old VCR! Where the h*ll is Apple and their DVR ;-)

I also haven't figured out how to go back one page in the menu system.

I have the Mototola DVR from Comcast... I had a hard time figuring this out too-- I think it's the "last" key on the remote. I'll verify when I get home.

I traded out a standard def DirecTiVo for this DVR when I switched to Comcast. The interface is okay, but the main problem is that the unit locks up quite often and becomes nonresponsive. Still, it's a small price to pay for HDTV. Once TiVo gets an HDTV box out (either the Series 3 or the Comcast version), then I'll consider it. Until then, TiVo is a non-starter for a cable HDTV subscriber, IMO.
