TP, It's especially wrong if the taxes are put back into the economy at some level providing stimulation which is usually more efficient than just putting more money back at those who need it least.

If you think government can spend your hard-earned money better than you can, then in your mind the apex of the Laffer curve is going to be on the high-end of the tax scale. It might even be at 100%, which would be the equivalent of a pure communism. (In that sense, Longnshort's post is right on the money: Message 22437069 )

On the other hand, if you believe in a limited government like the Founding Fathers did, the apex of the Laffer curve will be on the lower end of the tax scale.
