Been looking at your paranoia page really closely today.

Two conclusions. First is that the gold and silver prices have disconnected from the futures activity. The old relationships just don't seem to hold any more.

Second, the silver ETF has dramatically altered the open interest. July OI the smallest of the 5 years you show. The players now have a better game, it appears.

Then, of course, is the increasing volatility of the prices themselves. After years of moaning about no $6 gold up days by GATA types, we've had plenty lately including a $20 move on Thursday.

Basic message is keep hopeful, but keep some powder dry.
