Split Strategy:
I just ran some data from the beginning of 2006 to the present and found the following. The best day to buy is 2 days after announcement of split and hold until the day that the split goes into effect. In face between two days before the split goes into effect and the split day makes only a small difference 0.2% out of 10.4%. This is all based on buying and selling at the close. Interestingly I get the same percent increase as you.

It will be interesting to see if this rate continues over the next few months during which I think we will be in a bear market that started last week.
Ciao,
Rolatzi

Thanks. I suspect you are correct about nothing working but short selling in a bear market.
The ones that will really get caught off guard are the gold and oil bulls.
Nothing else crashes quite like a parabolic rise..

Doesn't appear any long strategies will be working today either- Europe and Asia are tanking..
