Bush could have given Carlyle the CIA warnings about "Osama Determined To Strike In The US". While GW ignored it, Carlyle might have taken it seriously and invested in it. BTW, when I was in London in November 2001, I was trying to meet with an Arab Prince for financing. His assistant took me out to dinner and told me that "everyone in Dubai knew something big was going to happen". That's when I knew that Bush did know something was going to happen. Either that or he was totally asleep at the wheel. And that scared me. Also scary was the FBI guys interviewed by Palast and Michael Moore who said once Bush came into power they were ordered to stop all surveillance of Saudis in the US.
