There is some truth to the fact Bush is merely a figurehead. A head cheerleader. A gregarious but rather dunce-like dyslexic slacker. Maybe even a greedy, paid-off boob and patsy. This would explain his strangely passionate support for the Dubai Ports deal. He knew there was a huge kickback waiting for him if he could make that deal happen. And he never thought about the consequences. Didn't even thnk about his own party's re-election bids.
