Exxon's profit margins are obscene. Of course they cook their books to make their profits seem less enormous. As we all know, there are many ways of doing that. But the fact remains that this year Exxon made the fattest profits ever in the history of mankind. And we Americans are not using much more gasoline, or is there any less supply than there was five years ago when gasoline was selling for $1.50.

Please listen, when Bush-Cheney first became a ticket perhaps their #1 goal, other than winning, was to double the price of oil and gas. The reasons were threefold, to make a huge money and power grab for their special interests, to make it worthwhile to drill in nature preserves, and to remove environmental regulations. They lied in 2000 when they said they'd jawbone OPEC to bring down prices. They had the opposite plan in mind. And they succeeded.

The oil industry has more tax write-offs than the church. That's how they cook their books. The LOSSES are government provided.
