Yes, but one of the things I admire about Buffett is that he bellies up to the bar and says "I made a mistake" or "It wasn't my best trade". He doesn't spend two seconds trying to rationalize his work. The man isn't a legend in his own mind, as many are. He's a legend in the minds of the rest of us. A factoid which I believe he finds most amusing.

I read an interesting article that Buffman got caught Short on his silver trade, playing dirivs etc and his silver was taken away. or it ended up in the ETF.

SlidSTER, your posts are amusing, without much substance, why don't you post some of your trades like others in here, you get carma points for helping people not confusing them.

I wish the other slider would come around and get your dander up...
