I know...We love the Inside Passage!!! Also love that trip, because you are already in the "hotel", don't have to pack and unpack, and can get out and see things when we land.... In between, reading and peace and quiet is great! Although there are lots of activities if one wants to go find them...<gg>

A trip on the Alaska State Ferry system is a lot cheaper and they don't have Social Directors telling you what to do all time.

True, but sleeping in a tent on deck can get a little chilly.
