Unfortunately, thanks to the Patriot Act, much of that is Legal. It's certainly IMMORAL and probably goes against the spirit of the act.

So it's OK for the FBI to get Judith Miller's phone records while investigating the Plame leak, but it's not OK for them to get phone records of other reporters while investigating the leak of classified national defense information?
