Often when I see Bush on TV I get the impression he is bored and annoyed with having to deal with people, especially the press, which is odd for a long-term politician. Of course, I always have him on mute so maybe his body language stands out more that way.

When I do listen to him speak, I find his speaking style is pitched to a certain audience, which isn't me. As a politician, I rate his charisma without a script and a backdrop fairly low.

Ironically I always thought that Clinton had a strong TV persona but the few times I saw him in person, I found him totally unappealing.
