I figure a buck a gallon is being gouged by price-fixing.

Pre-installed software costs about $2 per copy to MSFT (if that!), and they sell it to you for $200. THAT is price gouging. They make Exxon look like a charity.

But that doesn't interest you because Bill's last name isn't Bush.....

SO we can guess that the current gasoline shortage is all phony too.

There is no shortage of pre-installed software with a 100x markup. MSFT doesn't even make up any excuses, they just charge you up the wazoo because they are a monopoly in the PC operating system industry.
