<<I remember that when the stock market fell in 1987 the mining stocks fell with them as did gold and silver.

True, but in 1987 the US dollar was still a safe haven. I'm not sure that applies any more with these imbalances. I think the risk is that the dollar will continue to fall, in which case gold will continue to appreciate and the miners will leverage that.

Hello Koan,

I'm 78% cash, accepted a loss of 8% of total PF (sigh!), but hey i was up a good 50%. Needed time to reorganize my thoughts, feelings without the overwhelming doubt of trying to figure out tops, bottoms, corrections, etc... Not good at the ropperdope. We don't always need a good beating before winning the fight... It's perfectly healthy and alright to withdraw. I ain't no market macho! I ain't no houdini or Royce Gracie! Or Ali! FWIW... LoL.... Keeping my masculinity for the bedroom (LOL at myself!)...

Losts of people i respect and trust are mostly cash right now. We could all be wrong. And it's got nothing to do with strength of character. It's about wealth preservation. It's better to catch an uptrend than to try catching falling knives, like some say...

I want to pick stocks clear-minded for the next run whether it's today, tomorrow or in one month. Made a few mistakes. Needed to clear them away.

USD charts is screaming rally. All bourses are screaming timber. Bernanke is probably flying a canadian helicopter, you know those 40 year old «boltless» sealions... He could crash too! LOL. About freefalling...

In 1987, i did freefall, but for me it meant jumping off a plane from 10000 feet of altitude... Airborne! Once is enough. Like gold, not for the faint of hearth. Than i went into psychology... Go figure!

POG, Gold stocks... The fundamentals remains unchanged if not better for the mid and long term. But taking a breather from base metals... for a while!

Lots of analysts, famous and infamous, lots of divergence, many theories and model but i'm playing it technical right now. Right or wrong!

Like Rollo May writes: A theory, no matter how logical and perfect, may be intellectually sound and infallible but is it existentially real??? I should send this to Hommel (joke)

Have you picked your winners for the next round?

Buying potential is always a smart move... in my book. IT's not a do or die thing. This ain't Hollywood!

Life been good to you recently?

Cheers! Enough psychobable for today...

Lester
