At the UBC museum,

There is a large wooden sculpture of the Raven myth...

Where the Raven is trying to hold the giant clam closed, while the NW Natives were climbing out of the clam. Do you know that piece? I love that one, it's one of the most beautiful sculptures I've ever seen.

Took Yen on a nice little dinner scoot ride tonight....she bought....perfect evening.

Headed out early on Friday for a ride down through the Oregon coastal range, to Lincoln City. I'm meeting a buddy that is going there for a ski coaching conference. Saturday I'm going to look for the tiniest old roads in the area to explore for the day...then headed home on Sunday.

haida rose,
-has a nice ring to it -

i passed on the information to my sister; it is so interesting. she called today, and after 5 days has realized how remote she really is. anchorage is not that far off, but the plane ride is $350 to $500; she also mentioned that a loaf of bread is $4.50.

so much for going for a visit!
