On the first topic we are discussing, John, the response of Verizon, et al, to the charges they gave data to the government, at the moment I believe the response is created within the confines of worry about lawsuits. Some have been filed; no doubt others will follow. And when there is that large a pool of potential targets, the suits could be very, very large.

I don't have any doubt that a good bit more will surface. Perhaps when it's out there we'll all get a better take on who did what to whom.

Thanks for the comments on the Santorum/Casey race. This morning's NYTimes had an article about the Rep primaries in PA which suggested that the results will drive the party further to the right. I would guess that will only help Casey and hurt Santorum. Think so?

As you might expect, I'm torn by Casey. A woman's right to control her body is very high up on my list of priorities. And Casey does not support that so far as choice is concerned. But I understand the arguments about controlling the senate. So, torn.
