FDR gave us the greatest economic rebound in world history and won the toughest war in the US's history at the same time. You really have a nerve trying your rightwing revisionist history on a great leader like FDR.

So what if he raised taxes? We were fighting a World War on two fronts. Unlike Bush who just puts it all on the national credit card, FDR was actually paying, and getting the public to contribute, conserve and invest themselves in every way.
That's called responsible leadership.

Bush is the first presdient who has advocated tax cuts during a period of war. It makes no sense at all. It's just a party on on childrens' inheritance. The results, 7 trillion in new debt with no plan whatsoever for how to ever pay it back. Bush's entire economic growth he brags about is all debt spending and borrowing, mainly from the communist Chinese and Saudis. So now they own our butts more and more.
